ArtOptica proposal, IOT design:
- Let’s make a lens with increased peripheral power along one meridian (horizontal)
- The meridian will have an umbilical line
- Free from astigmatism along this horizontal meridian.
Benefits:
- Clean focus along the horizontal meridian
- A large number of neurons laid in the periphery will be addressed with clean/myopic focus
- Much better image quality in the periphery, lack of astigmatism.
Perifocal design: main thesis.
- Perifocal creates conditions for balance between vertical and horizontal meridians
- Balance between nasal and temporal sides can be controlled
- Making influence on normalizing of choroid thickness
- Creating proper conditions to reduce myopia progression by biochemical cascade.
